Rozza, with the exquisitely coloured teddy bear.

Informed readers will be aware of the recent addition to the Hide household – a lovely, bouncing baby girl named Liberty.

At the local board meeting this week at which the boy Hide was speaking, the immacutely-mannered Chris Darby presented Rozza – on behalf of the Devonport-Takapuna Local Board – with a gift for Liberty. The gift? The Devonport Speculator can exclusively publish a photo of the cutesy wutesy teddy bear – clad in the colour that has become Rozza’s ensign.

Nice touch councillors!*

Yes, yes, I know that they are not called councillors any more.

We from Kaipatikik Local Board were invited to the meeting. Chris Derby, without consulting his Board, then would not allow anyone other than Devonport residents to ask Rodney questions during question time. Seems like he only invited us to impress Rodney about the number of spectators. Typical of Shore Voice, not consulting his Board. Shore Voice said during the election campaign, they would not work as a team but be inclusive. “Porkies” In Kaipatiki Ward, the 3 highest polling successful candidates there get nothing much to do at all. In fact our chairperson, polled lowest of the 8 on the night and given a mustach, does a great job trying to be “Hitler”. As the most qualified person on roading and town centres, she refused to allow me to take part in these matters.
