Second Crash On Vauxhall Rd

Posted by on Aug 11, 2011 | 1 Comment

The most recent incident on Vauxhall Rd – in almost exactly the same place as the one The Speculator reported on two weeks ago – involved a number of badly damaged cars, but no serious injuries.

A car travelling south along Vauxhall Rd struck a parked car, which then triggered a series of other cars to rear-end the car in front.

The incident occurred Monday morning, around 8:00am, and was not believed to involve speeding louths. However, the crash  – following on from the recent previous incident – has led to calls for a review of the road and particularly the angle of the corner approaching the pedestrian crossing opposite Church Rd.

Does anyone know why the cars were there damaged for over a week ?

Yes – they are apparently awaiting inspection by the insurance companies. – Ed
