Naval Salute To Be Heard on The 21st Jan

On Friday 21 January 2011 at 1000 the Navy will be holding our annual Fleet Divisions Parade at Ngataringa Sports Complex.

The Governor General of New Zealand will be in attendance so there will be a gun salute and Seasprite helicopter fly past during the proceedings.

    While harbouring only the warmest feelings towards the GG, isn’t it time we dispensed with all the Royals AND their representatives? We Queens who actually earn our keep have serious doubts about a system that, at the expense of both democracy and meritocracy, maintains hereditary privileges, upholds a repugnant class system, and requires the taxpayers to support a bunch of dimwits who are filthy rich only because their forefathers stole most of the land. Rather than giving a salute, I think the Navy should break out the gangplank…
