The moon slid in close to Devonport over the weekend, in its nearest pass to the Earth for 2011. The impact on the tides was noticeable, with the low tide on Saturday night almost sucking out to Devonport’s main ferry terminal.
The masterful Goina Thedinga forgoed the Blues – Hurricanes match to snap some remarkable photos of our familiar companion as it glided by at something around 14,000mph.
