The Mayor is inviting Devonport locals to an informal community meeting on Thursday 29 September.
The 6.30pm meeting in the Devonport Community House is one in a series of regular ‘town hall meetings’ Len Brown holds around Auckland to connect with different communities.
“It’s very important to me to get out into Auckland’s different communities and hear from locals first-hand about their concerns, hopes, and projects. There have been good turnouts and interesting discussions at my town hall meetings each month, and I’m always impressed by how engaged and involved people are in their community.”
“I am looking forward to heading to Devonport. It is a passionate and tight-knit community and I am looking forward to hearing more about their needs and expectations,” says Len Brown.
There is no agenda – after a brief introduction from the Mayor, individuals and community groups are welcome to share their thoughts about their council and their community.
Local councillors and local board members are also invited to attend the informal meeting.
Devonport Community House, 32 Clarence Street, Devonport. The meeting will run from 6.30pm – 8pm.
