Easter Procession To Mt Victoria Ambushed By Rain At Summit

The combined churches of Devonport conducted the annual procession tracing the story of Jesus’ Death and Resurrection from the band rotunda in Windsor Reserve to the summit of Mt Victoria again this year, with a good crowd of about 100  in attendance.

The procession is conducted in stages, stopping several times along the route for readings from the Bible and the singing of hymns.

The Speculator caught the procession just short of the summit, which proved to be  little fortuitous, for the procession was ambushed at the top by an easterly squall that also temporarily threw the Opti nationals into disarray.
