Auckland’s largest run with over 15,000 people participating in a 5km walk/run, quarter marathon (10.5km), half marathon (21.1km) and a full marathon (42.2km). Both the half and full marathon start on the North Shore at Devonport.

The quarter marathon starts on Gaunt Street in the new Wynyard Quarter area and the 5km event starts on Curran Street in St Mary’s Bay.

All events finish on Fanshawe Street beside Victoria Park. The first runner to crosses the line and finishes the event at approximately 7.15am and the last runner/walker by about 1.00pm.

The finish gantry is located on Fanshawe Street and will be dismantled by 2.00pm to allow for the roads to be fully re-opened.

Numbers Attending:

Total participant numbers: 15,000

Total spectators (throughout course): 30,000 (based on 2ppl/participant)

EVENT OPERATIONS

Road closures:

North Shore (Devonport, Takapuna, Birkenhead, Northcote)

King Edward Pde between Victoria Rd and Church St will be closed between 3.00am and 7.30am.

Church St and Vauxhall Rd will be closed from 5.00am to 7.45am.

Hamana St and Seacliffe Ave will be closed from 5.00am to 7.45am.

Winscombe St will be closed from 4.30am to 7.45am.

Lake Rd eastern side between Winscombe St and Esmonde Rd will be partially closed from 4.30am to 8.15am. A one-way coned system will operate in this area.

Lake Rd western side from Esmonde Rd to Bracken Ave will be fully closed from 4.30am to 8.15am.

Bracken Ave between Lake Rd and Burns Ave will be closed from 4.30am to 8.15am.

Burns Ave from Bracken Ave to Esmonde Rd will be closed from 4.30am to 8.20am.

Burns Ave western side from Bracken Ave to Anzac Ave will be partially closed from 4.30am to 8.20am. A one-way system will operate in this area.

Anzac St, south side from Burns Ave to Taharoto Rd, Taharoto Rd west side, from Anzac Rd to Northcote Rd, Northcote Rd south side from Taharoto Rd to Lake Road, will be partially closed from 4.30am to 8.30am. A two-way coned system will operate in these areas

Northcote Rd south side from Taharoto Rd to Lake Rd will be partially closed from 4.30am to 8.45am. A two-way coned system will operate in this area

Lake Rd south side from Northcote Rd to Raleigh and Exmouth Rds will be partially closed from 4.30am to 8.45am. A two-way coned system will operate in this area

Lake Rd south side from Raleigh and Exmouth Rds to Onewa Rd will be partially closed from 4.30am to 9.00am. A one way coned system will operate in this area.

Onewa Rd between Queen St and Sylvan Ave will be partially closed from 4.30am to 9.30am. A 1 way cone system will operate in this area

Queen St south side from Onewa to Stafford Rd. A one way coned system will operate in this area from 4.30am to 9.30am.

Stafford Rd will be closed from Queen St to the Motorway from 4.45am to 9.30am.

Auckland Motorways/Auckland Harbour Bridge

The southbound-on ramp and the northbound-off ramp at the Northcote Motorway Interchange will be closed from 4.00am to 10.30am.

Curran St on-ramp Northbound will be closed from 4.00am to 10.30am.

Stafford Rd off-ramp Northbound will be closed from 4.00am to 10.30am.

Onewa Rd off-ramp Northbound will be closed from 4.00am to 10.30am.

Northbound clip on lanes (Lanes 1 and 2) of the Auckland Harbour Bridge will be closed from 6.00am to 10am.

All other lanes on the bridge will be open to traffic.
