Just to get the ball rolling: Sarah Bloomfield related a story to a recent meeting of the Devonport Borough Council regarding the council’s policy of weed spraying. Noticing some council staff out spraying the roadside, she stopped to ask them what they were spraying. “Roundup” came the reply. Ms Bloomfield pointed out to the workers that there was a spraying ban in place in Devonport, which prohibited the use of all poisons. The hapless worker replied “Devonport? I thought this was Takapuna!”
