Devonport neighbourhood friends, Mia Hawes (Vauxhall Primary School), Katherine Daniel (Devonport Primary School) and Patience Davis (Stanely Bay School) decided to have a baking stall to raise money for the Christchurch Earthquake appeal. They made flyers to put in local letter boxes, put up posters and then started baking.

From their Vauxhall Rd stall, they sold out in one hour and raised $257.60 which they deposited into Red Cross Christchurch Earthquake Appeal at the Devonport BNZ Bank.

Fantastic effort girls! The Devonport Speculator would like to buy each girl a ticket to a film of their choice at The Vic for their efforts.
