RECYCLE YOUR COMPUTER

And support Takapuna Grammar School’s Road Cycling Club

Until the end of September 2010 for a fee of $20 any organisation and family may deliver their old computer equipment, whatever their condition or age, to CORE which will recycle them in an environmentally responsible way.  This means 99% of all items will avoid a landfill! In addition, CORE will securely blank your Desktop PC or Laptop hard drive for free. Businesses and Schools should contact CORE directly to determine their recycling fee.

SPECIAL INCENTIVE!

CORE will give each recycler a $20 VOUCHER redeemable against the service cost of CORE computer housekeeping or repair. CORE will also donate all recycling fees received to TGS Road Cycling Club.

Bring your computers to:

Computer Asset Recovery and Remarketing
66C Barrys Point Rd, Takapuna [behind Ballistics].

WHY RECYCLE?

  • Computers contain hazardous chemicals and heavy metals which are a potential toxic threat to our environment. A single computer can contain up to 2kg lead.
  • Disposing of computers in landfill sites is banned in many countries because they are a source of toxins and carcinogens which may leach into the ground and contaminate water supplies.
  • Computers are a valuable source of secondary raw materials which can only be recovered if they are recycled.
