Pippa Turley Makes 25th at Triathlon World Champs

Pippa raced today and finished 25th in her age group. Her time was 2:23:46 and she finished 3rd out of the Kiwis and 19:54 behind the winner.

Pippa was competing at the Triathlon World Champs; a professional competition that also has an amateur component, in which she was participating  with around 115 other amateur athletes from New Zealand.

The course was a 1.5km swim, followed by a 40km bike-ride, and topped off with a 10km run through the streets of the Hungarian capital.

Pippa was aiming for a top 10 finish. In the professional section, New Zealand’s best finisher was Clark Ellice in 18th place with late inclusion James Elvery 38th and Martin van Barneveld 43rd.
